How to apply for a Di Jameson Family Foundation grant

The Di Jameson Family Foundation welcomes applications from individuals and organisations with an Australian Business Number (ABN) who are creating meaningful opportunities for young Australian musicians.

We fund programs and projects that encourage learning, performance, and creative development, helping to ensure a strong and vibrant future for music in Australia.

Eligibility Overview

Who can apply

  • Australian individuals or organisations with an ABN
  • Projects and programs that align with the Foundation’s mission and values
  • Activities based in or significantly benefiting Australia’s music community

What we support

  • Learning and mentorship programs
  • Performance opportunities and artistic residencies
  • Creative development, composition, and commissioning projects
  • Partnerships between schools, community groups, and professional musicians
  • Access and inclusion initiatives that expand participation in music

What we do not fund

  • Projects outside Australia (except artist training overseas)
  • Retrospective or completed activities
  • Travel or study unrelated to music or education
  • Commercial ventures without clear community or educational impact

STEP 2

PREPARE
YOUR PROPOSAL

Gather key details — project summary, goals, timeline, budget, and expected outcomes.

STEP 3

Submit your project

The Di Jameson Family Foundation supports a limited number of projects each year aligned with its mission to support emerging artists and strengthen music education.

Organisations interested in applying are encouraged to contact the Foundation to briefly discuss their project before submitting a formal proposal. Following this initial conversation, selected organisations may be invited to submit a full application.

STEP 4

Assessment
& Notification

Applications are reviewed by the Foundation’s Board. Successful applicants will be contacted directly. You will be informed of the outcome of your application within six weeks.

Key Dates

The Foundation accepts applications twice a year or throughout the year

Upcoming round: Closes 15 May 2026.
Next round: Opens 1 June 2026 and closes November 14 2026
