Supported by the Di Jameson Family Foundation, State Opera South Australia’s Resident & Emerging Artists Program is a new initiative designed to nurture the next generation of Australian opera talent.

The pilot program will support emerging singers, conductors, directors, and répétiteurs through professional performance opportunities, coaching, masterclasses, and language training, embedded within SOSA’s 2026 season.

Participants will gain hands-on experience across major productions, education programs, and collaborations with the Elder Conservatorium and the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra.

By providing structured mentoring and real-world professional experience within South Australia, the program helps retain local talent, strengthens artistic capability, and builds clearer pathways from training to sustainable careers in opera.
