Melbourne Chamber Orchestra, Music Education Program (2027–2029)

Community Engagement, First Nations Artists, Round 2 2026

Building on a shared commitment to music education and community engagement, the Di Jameson Family Foundation is pleased to support the expansion of Melbourne Chamber Orchestra’s Music Education Program through a new three-year partnership commencing in 2027.

The program extends MCO’s education and outreach activities across metropolitan and regional Victoria, bringing professional musicians into schools, libraries and community settings through workshops, performances, mentoring and creative learning experiences.

Building on successful initiatives such as Storytellers: Wurrtoo!, the program is designed to inspire creativity, foster confidence and encourage meaningful engagement with live music. Over the next three years, it will engage thousands of children, students and community members while strengthening access to high-quality music education throughout metropolitan and regional Victoria.

The Foundation’s three-year partnership (2027–2029) reflects a shared belief that sustained investment in music education creates lasting opportunities for young people while strengthening communities through the arts.
